As an independent institution within the greater NaUKMA community the Masters Program unites a multiplicity of disciplines to offer its students an in-depth professional education. Our program’s curriculum is intelligently structured to help meet the current professional needs of society and, as a rule a NaUKMA Masters degree can be earned after two years of fulltime coursework. During this two year period, students must complete between a minimum of 60 credits and a maximum of 75 credits. Credits can be earned in a variety of ways including, passing required courses, elective courses and internships; engaging in a variety of academic research activities; performing laboratory work; and writing and defending a Masters thesis.
After successfully completing the required number of credits at NaUKMA, graduates earn a state certified Masters Diploma in an accredited field of specialization. Graduates who earn a state certified Masters Diploma have two options. First, they can enter the workforce as highly-qualified professionals. Alternatively, they can enroll in a PhD program at either NaUKMA, another Ukrainian university or within the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In addition to receiving a state certified Masters Diploma candidates who perform at a very high academic level, as defined by standards established by NaUKMA, also earn a Masters Diploma from the Academy.
