History and Structure
The faculty consists of three departments: Department of Economic Theory, Department of Finance and Department of Marketing and Business Management. The Department of Economical Theory got its first graduates in 1996, while the Department of Finance's first students were admitted only in 2002. The Faculty's educational programs meet Ukrainian state and modern western standards in economic education.The Faculty offers Bachelor’s degrees in Economics, Finance and Marketing, and Master’s degrees in Economics (with specialization in Innovation Strategy, Economic Policy, Consumer Behavior) and Finance.
Faculty Peculiarities
Efficiency of the Faculty's curriculum has been proved by the faculty's graduates who have formed high professional reputation of the faculty on both domestic and foreign labour markets. This is being confirmed by constant demand for the faculty's graduates from prestigious companies and organizations.
Faculty's educational programs are oriented on English and American economic educational models which include in-depth theoretical education, students' involvement into different research projects and training them to apply the tools of modern analysis to different economic models and situations.
Visiting lectures of worldly-recognized economists, diplomats, leading Ukrainian scientists, politicians and officials make an important part of the Faculty learning process.
Ukrainian faculty members regularly win grants and scholarships for their professional development (among them Fulbright academic grant, stipends for staying in Stanford, Princeton, Harvard, George Washington Universities in the USA, as well as in a number of French, German and Japanese universities).
Studying Opportunities
Combining studying with practical internship allows students to obtain good analytical skills.
Most of the Faculty professors have an international teaching experience, which allows them to successfully adapt modern Western European, American, Canadian standards of economics education to the Ukrainian realities.
The Faculty invites highly prepared American, Canadian and Western European lectures for the full-time teaching on Master's and partly Bachelor's programs. Therefore a number of the Faculty courses are offered with the English language of instruction.
