The Department of Economical Theory got its first graduates in 1996, while the Department of Finance's first students were admitted only in 2002. The Faculty's educational programs meet Ukrainian state and modern western standards in economic education. It became the home of the international Master's Program in Economics created by the Economics Education and Research Consortium (EERC), which is a group of distinguished international donor organizations that joined forces in 1996 to modernize economics education and research in the NIS and to prepare economists who are to become leaders in Ukraine's economic policy circles through post-MA careers in public service, research institute, or private sector positions, or through completing PhDs abroad and returning to Ukraine to teach.
The Faculty offers degrees in Economics (Bachelor, Specialist, and Master levels), and Finance (Bachelor level).
