As a state educational institution, National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” carries out its policy according to the Constitution of Ukraine, Laws of Ukraine "About Education", "About Higher Education", "About Scientific and Technical activity", Certificates of the President of Ukraine, the Government of Ukraine, other Standard Acts of Ukraine, and according to the Statute of NaUKMA approved by Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, ¹1325 from August, 22nd, 2000.
Teaching in NaUKMA, as well as work of basic directing bodies and departments of NaUKMA, are regulated by the corresponding positions of the Statute approved in determinate order.
Managements of activity NaUKMA it is carried out by:
Academic Conference;
President of NaUKMA;
Senate;
Student Council.
Academic Conference is a body of public self-management. President of NaUKMA is the highest official who carries out general management of NaUKMA and bears the responsibility for results of its activity, solves the essential questions of the university life, supervises and coordinates the work of university administration and Senate, carries out external representation of NaUKMA. Senate is an advisory body concerning with scientific and educational activity of the university; carries out its activity according to the Decision “About Science Board”. Student Council is a body of students’ self-management.
Representative, public organizations and bodies which assist the rebirth and development of NaUKMA:
Supervisory Board;
Honorary President of NaUKMA;
International Consultative Board;
Board of Trustees;
Art Board.
Supervisory Board is a body which renders assistance in settling of basic issues of the university life and carries out the control over main activities of NaUKMA. The membership of Supervising Board is confirmed by the Government of Ukraine. International Consulting Board is the body which represents NaUKMA abroad; its structure includes outstanding scientists, cultures, religions, and also politicians (under the consent). The International Consulting Board assists in developing cooperation between NaUKMA and foreign universities. Board of Trustees is a public body providing assistance to rebirth and development of NaUKMA (acts in compliance with the Decision “About Board of Trustees” approved by the Academic Conference). Art Board is an advisory body established on purpose to embody in life the concept of culture and art activity of NaUKMA and to further the all-around development of NaUKMA students and employees.
